Indo-U.S. Diabetes Conference
Indo-U.S. Interdisciplinary Conference on Nutrition Practice Guidelines for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: Sharing Evidence and Best Practices to Improve Health Outcomes
This bilateral interdisciplinary collaboration between researchers and practitioners in India and the U.S. was made possible through a grant by the Indo-U.S. Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) and was co-hosted by AODA and Frontier Lifeline Hospital, Chennai, India. The two-day event was held November 17-18, 2012 in Chennai, India at the Raintree Hotel. The workshop was open to AODA members and invited participants from the U.S. and India.
Purpose

The overarching goal was to promote sustainable, practical, culturally-acceptable and evidence-based models of diabetes care by bringing together multiple stakeholders that have the capability to reverse the diabetes pandemics in India and the U.S.
